Holly Watson joins MetOcean Solutions

We are delighted to welcome Holly Watson to MetOcean Solutions. Holly is a Physical Oceanographer, specialising in coastal environments. She will be joining our Marine Project Consultancy Team, and is based in Sydney. 

“Holly’s experience with a variety of projects and modelling systems will be a great asset for the Consultancy Team, and her work will be essential to increasing the flexible mesh modelling capability at MetOcean Solutions” says MetOcean Consultancy Project Manager, Dr. Alexis Berthot. “Having Holly based in Australia will also further strengthen our Australian expertise”.  

Following a BSc in Environmental Science, Holly completed her MSc in Earth and Ocean Sciences at University of Waikato. Her research was focused on the potential impacts of wharf extensions on hydrodynamics. She developed a hydrodynamic model of Tauranga Harbour for port development and environmental assessment purposes. 

With over five years of industry experience working at coastal engineering consultancies in Australia, Holly has vast experience in the fields of coastal and ocean modelling of hydrodynamics, sediment transport and wave conditions. Holly’s research interests include statistical modelling and data analysis. Her expertise lies in coastal hydrodynamics with experience in numerical modelling and geographical mapping. 

Holly says, “I am excited to join the MetOcean Solutions team where I can contribute my experience and technical expertise gained from working in the consulting industry to produce specialist solutions for our clients.”
