Trajectory, Plumes and Oil Spill

  • Oil spill impact modeling – oil spill impact reports for 16 offshore drilling locations and facilities around New Zealand. These reports are tailored for inclusion in the regulatory NZ discharge management plan (DMP).
  • Trajectory modeling – used in numerous scenarios involving oil spill, search and rescue, pollutant, drill cutting discharges, larval and microbial dispersion.
  • Discharge plumes – modeling of the plume dynamics for a variety of discharges including produced water, cold water, sewage and suspended sediments.
  • A nationwide NZ Emergency Response System which uses our specialised marine forecasting system integrated with trajectory models.
  • Automated oil spill maps – producing a trajectory every forecast cycle.
